We detail the moisture path before the first stone goes up.
Some jobs are set with a grout line between the stones, others are dry-stacked tight with no visible joint for a cleaner, flatter look. Both hold up outdoors. For columns and freestanding stone, the footing has to carry the weight, and we size it for Allen's clay so a rigid stone face doesn't crack.
