The Park Cities have some of the oldest pools in Dallas. A lot of Highland Park and UP pools were built in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and many have been renovated more than once. A current-generation pool renovation here means taking a beautifully-shelled older pool and making it visually current — new tile, new coping, fresh stonework around the deck — without changing what works.

Most Park Cities remodels we run combine waterline tile, full coping replacement, and stonework on raised walls or spa surrounds. About 60% also include interior surface work (plaster or pebble), which we coordinate with a surface specialist so everything happens in one drain cycle. Bundling like this saves cost, time, and risk compared to doing it piecemeal over several years.

These projects almost always involve coordinating with a designer, landscape architect, or pool maintenance company. We're used to that — we work from designer specs, push back when something won't hold up in the climate, and document everything so all the trades stay aligned. We bring 20+ years of DFW-specific judgment to materials selection and install methods.

The clay soil under every Park Cities property still moves. Every renovation we do here installs with expansion joints in the coping, flexible bonding behind the tile, and proper drainage around the deck. We follow PHTA and NTCA standards. The pool has to look perfect — and it has to still look perfect in 15 years.
