Pool Coping Installation & Replacement in Dallas-Fort Worth
Travertine, bull nose, cantilevered, and natural stone coping. New installs and full replacement for residential and commercial pools.
Coping is the stone edge that caps the top of your pool wall where it meets the deck. It takes constant abuse — foot traffic, sun, pool chemicals, and the clay soil underneath that shifts with the seasons. When coping cracks or comes loose, it's a tripping hazard and water gets underneath and damages the beam. It only gets worse if you leave it.
We install and replace all common coping types: travertine, natural stone, poured concrete, bull nose, and cantilevered. Travertine is the most popular choice in DFW — it stays cool on bare feet even in 100-degree summers, it handles freeze-thaw cycles well, and it looks great for years. Bull nose gives you a cleaner, more modern edge. Natural stone works well when you want to match existing hardscape around the pool and patio.
The number one reason coping fails in DFW is soil movement. North Texas sits on expansive clay soil that swells when it's wet and shrinks when it's dry. That constant movement puts pressure directly on your coping. We install with expansion joints and flexible bonding that handles the shifting — following PHTA guidelines for pool construction standards. That's the difference between coping that lasts 15 years and coping that cracks in two.
We replace coping across all of DFW — Fort Worth, Southlake, Frisco, Plano, and everywhere in between. If your coping is cracking, shifting, or just looks dated, we'll come out and give you a straight answer on what needs to happen.
Coping replacement pairs naturally with a pool retile. If your coping is failing, there's a good chance your waterline tile is too. Doing both at the same time saves you money on labor and means the pool only needs to be drained once. For a full refresh, see our pool renovation service.
For builders and GCs: we sub coping on new builds and renovations across DFW. On time, clean work, no callbacks. We know the inspection requirements and we deliver the first time.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
It depends on material and pool size. Travertine costs more than concrete, for example. We don't do ballpark guesses over the phone — we come out, look at your pool, and give you a real number with no surprises.
Travertine is the most popular in DFW. Stays cool on bare feet in summer and holds up through winter. Bull nose and natural stone are also solid options. We go over the pros and cons when we come out.
Most pools take 3 to 5 days start to finish, including tearing out the old coping. Bigger or more complex pools might take a bit longer. We give you a clear timeline before we start.
If it's just a few pieces, we can reset them. But if the cracking is widespread or stones are shifting a lot, replacing all of it is usually the smarter long-term move. We'll tell you straight up what we think.
